STRIVING TO SHOW FOLKS THAT
THE KINGDOM OF HEAVEN
MIGHT BE CLOSER THAN THEY THINK.

In Ireland, as it is in Heaven
Living in any part of the world will teach you a number of life lessons and Ireland is no exception. But one thing you’ll figure out quickly is that the Irish—in seeming defiance of their long, difficult history—possess in themselves an unmatched graciousness for others.
From the time of St. Patrick, the Irish have an age-old history with Christianity, but while it is a spiritually rich history, it’s also fraught with societal division, religious apartheid, oppression, neglect, and sexual abuse.
The Gospel of Jesus is about his Kingdom being at hand₍₁₎, his work on the Cross₍₂₎, and his victory over death₍₃₎. Over the centuries, the Irish people were taught all about Jesus, about sin, obedience, salvation; however, they weren’t really given the chance to experience the Kingdom’s presence, the way that Jesus himself proclaimed it to be. Instead, they experienced something far, far worse—instead of the Kingdom of Jesus, they experienced the gutter of the world.
They were told one thing yet shown something else entirely. As a result, the Gospel of Jesus was reduced to being something hollow, empty, and false. Faith without fruit; words without deeds; ‘salvation’ without grace; a cart and no horse.
≽ Generally speaking, the people of Ireland would rather just take their injured history with the Church and be done with faith altogether. ≼
In these pages, we hope you’ll see how everything we do is about bringing the fullness of God’s love to people. We hope that you’ll sense the movement of God in Ireland. Too, we hope that this ministry will resonate within you and we invite you to take part in it with us. Your partnership, prayer, and financial support will continue to fuel this work of bringing the Gospel to people.
We would truly love to have you with us, bringing to Ireland the fullness of Jesus’ Gospel — both, the cart and the horse.
All for Love,
MaryAnne & Ryan
